Winning school will receive $5,000 to enrich its video arts programs in the ”Experience the Myth” video contest sponsored by The Greek Gods
You’re young. You’re talented. And your high school is running its video arts programs on less than a shoestring. The Greek Gods have spoken, and if your high school can create the video that resonates most with the Gods, your school’s video arts program could win $5,000 by May. The Greek Gods Yogurt “Experience the Myth” Video Contest officially commences today.
“There are so many emerging videographers out there, and we thought it would be a lot of fun to see what they would do if given some fairly wide parameters to make a short video about our yogurt,” Basel Nassar said, managing partner of The Greek Gods. “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to showcase their quality work online, and award one standout.”
Criteria are as follows (complete rules at http://greekgodsyogurt.com/blog):
- Create a :30 (thirty second) short video promoting The Greek Gods Yogurt
- Greek Gods Yogurt products must appear in the video
- Dialogue preferred with mention of The Greek Gods Yogurt
- Must convey “Experience the Myth” and surprisingly delicious flavor
- No profanity, nudity, or violent content
- The Greek Gods will vet and publicly post select videos
Submission:
- DVD copies only (will not be returned)
- Video title, high school name, teacher name, address, email and phone number are required on the disk itself
- Acceptable video formats are H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4
- Acceptable audio formats are MP3 or AAC
- Send ONLY via United States mail to TGG Video Contest c/o Wilson PR, 1809 Seventh Avenue, #1403 Seattle WA 98101
- Deadline: must be received by April 15, 2010.
- Award notification: May 7, 2010

Does everyone in the program have to be over 18?
Hi Devlin! This is a great question.
Only those people submitting/representing the school need to be 18 or over for the purpose of entry; the entire production and talent can/should be high schoolers putting the film together..
