Greek Gods Tzatziki Dip

Try a delicious traditional Greek recipe using Greek Gods Plain Greek-Style Yogurt.
¾ large cucumber
½ tsp salt
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
3 cups Greek Gods Traditional Plain Yogurt
¼ cup fresh dill, finely chopped
½ lemon, juice and zest
¼ tsp pepper
- Strain yogurt using cheesecloth and a fine strainer, for several hours (this step is optional, but will result in a thicker tzatziki).
- Grate cucumber into a fine strainer, avoiding the middle seedy part, add salt and push around with a spoon to draw moisture out. After most moisture if drawn out, pat dry with towel.
- Combine minced garlic, olive oil, fresh dill and lemon juice and zest in a bowl, and fold into strained yogurt and cucumber. Garnish with extra dill and olive oil, and add salt asneeded.
